How to activate a gift subscription from a link on account.resetvpn.com, what you get and why a gift may fail to activate.

A gift is activated with the link the giver sent you. If the link looks like account.resetvpn.com/gift/…, you activate it on the website — see the steps below. If it leads to Telegram (t.me/ResetVPN_bot?start=gift_…), open it and the bot will offer "Accept gift".

You can't activate a gift in the Mini App — open the link in a browser or in the bot.

How to activate on the website#

  1. Open the gift link. The page opens even if you're not signed in: "You received a subscription", what's included and the giver's message, if they wrote one.

  2. Sign in to the account that should get the subscription. If you're already signed in, the account's email is shown at the top of the page. If not, the page has "Sign up" and "Sign in" tabs (email and password).

  3. Tap "Activate gift". If you're not signed in, the button is "Create account and activate" or "Sign in and activate"; after signing up, enter the code from the email and tap "Verify and activate".

  4. Connect. You'll see "Gift activated", and your account opens on its own. The new subscription is in "Overview" — tap "Connect" on it.

Do you sign in with Google or Telegram? Those buttons aren't on the gift page: first sign in at account.resetvpn.com (opens in a new tab) your usual way, then open the link again.

Good to know#

  • On the website a gift always creates a new subscription — you can't use it to extend an existing one here.

  • The new subscription's period starts at activation. "Premium" is a traffic package with no expiry date.

  • If you already have a "Premium" or "Router" subscription, a gift of the same plan may not activate: a second subscription of that kind isn't issued.

  • The link is single-use. You can't activate your own gift.

If it doesn't work#

"This link is no longer active…"

The gift has already been activated — possibly by someone else with the same link — or the link wasn't copied in full. Ask the giver to check its status under "My gifts".

"This is your own gift…"

The gift was bought from this account, so only someone else can activate it. Send the link to the recipient.

"Failed to activate gift"

The gift isn't used up in this case. A common reason is that you already have a subscription of the same plan ("Premium" or "Router"). Contact support if you're not sure what to do.

My account is Telegram-only (bot or Mini App)

Sign in to the website with Telegram: it will ask you to set a username, email and password and to confirm the email with a code; your subscriptions and balance are kept. Then open the gift link again.
