Changing the plan or renaming a subscription

Why renewal keeps the same plan, how to move to another plan with a new subscription, and how to give a subscription your own name.

A paid subscription keeps its plan: renewal only offers terms of its current plan. The exception is the free trial, which is replaced by the plan you choose.

Moving from the free trial#

On the trial card, tap "Choose a plan" and pay for the plan you want in the "Switch to a plan" window. See Free trial on the website and in the Mini App for details.

Moving to another plan#

  1. Buy a new subscription. In "Overview", tap "New subscription", pick the plan and pay — as described in Buying a subscription on the website and in the Mini App.

  2. Add it to your app. The new subscription has its own link: tap "Connect" on its card.

  3. Let the old one go. Turn off "Auto-renewal" on the old subscription — it runs until the end of its term and then ends by itself.

Subscriptions of different plans can run at the same time. An ended subscription is kept for 7 days and then deleted. There's no delete button in the account; if you need a subscription removed sooner, message "Support".

You don't need a new plan to change the number of devices: on "VPN" that's done in the "Device limit" window — see Changing the device limit on the website and in the Mini App. You can have one "Premium" subscription per account: buy more traffic in it with "Buy more traffic".

Renaming a subscription#

  1. Tap the pencil next to the subscription's name on its card.

  2. Type a name — up to 12 characters: letters, digits and spaces. Punctuation and emoji are removed.

  3. Save with the check mark or Enter. The cross or Esc cancels.

  • To get the default name back, save an empty field.

  • A name longer than 12 characters won't be saved — you'll see "Failed to save".

  • A subscription shared with you has no name of its own — it's called "Shared subscription".
