Auto-renewal on the website and in the Mini App

How auto-renewal works: where the money comes from, when and for what term it renews, what happens if the balance is short, and how to turn it off.

Auto-renewal renews your subscription from your account balance so the VPN doesn't switch off. It's on from the start for new "VPN" and "Router" subscriptions.

Turning it on and off#

The subscription card in "Overview" has an "Auto-renewal" row with a switch. After you flip it, you'll see "Auto-renewal enabled" or "Auto-renewal disabled". The switch is only shown on your own active "VPN" or "Router" subscription.

How it works#

  • Where the money comes from. Only your main account balance. Auto-renewal doesn't spend bonuses, and no card details are stored or charged.

  • When. During the last 10 hours before the subscription ends. If the balance was short and the subscription ended, it keeps trying for the 7 days the subscription is kept: top up and it renews by itself, with the term counted from the moment of payment.

  • For what term. The same term you chose last time. If the balance doesn't cover it, the longest term the balance does cover is used. If no term is affordable, there's no renewal.

  • At what price. Including any active discount and the device limit for the next period: if you've scheduled a lower limit, the price is for the new one.

Will there be enough money?#

If auto-renewal is on, three days before the end the card shows one of these lines:

  • "Renews automatically by …: … from your balance for another …" — all set;

  • "Auto-renewal by … is … short on your balance" — tap "Top up …" on the card: "Balance" opens with the amount already filled in.

You also get notifications before the subscription ends, including how much your balance is short.

Where there's no auto-renewal#

  • Free trial — switch to a plan with "Choose a plan".

  • Premium — it has no end date; buy more traffic with "Buy more traffic".

  • A subscription shared with you — its owner renews it.

  • If the subscription's plan has been switched off, auto-renewal won't work (and the subscription can't be renewed manually either) — get a new subscription.

You can also renew manually while auto-renewal is on — see Renewing a subscription on the website and Mini App.
