How to gift a subscription on the website and Mini App
Gift subscriptions: which plan you can gift, paying from your balance, where to get the gift link and how long it stays valid.
On this page
A gift is a paid subscription that the recipient activates with a single-use link. The subscription period starts when the gift is activated, not when it's bought.
How to send a gift#
Open "Gifts". On the website it's in the menu; on a phone and in the Mini App it's under "More".
Under "Create a gift", choose a plan: "VPN" or "Premium". The "Router" plan can't be gifted on the website or in the Mini App.
Set up the gift. For "VPN", choose "Devices" and "Period"; for "Premium", choose the "Traffic volume". The price is shown under "Total".
On the website you can sign the gift (optional): "To" is the recipient's name and "Message" is the card text. The recipient sees both on the activation page, and you see the name under "My gifts". The Mini App doesn't have these fields.
Tap "Create and pay". The money is taken from your balance.
Copy the link in the "Gift is ready" window and send it to the recipient any way you like.
Paying#
Gifts are paid from your balance only. If it's not enough, you'll see "Top up balance" instead of "Create and pay" — top up and come back to the gift.
You can add bonuses with the "Add bonuses" switch; it appears when your main balance falls short.
A gift always costs the full price: promo codes and personal discounts don't apply.
The gift link#
A link like account.resetvpn.com/gift/… opens the activation page on the website — see How to activate a gift on the website.
The link leads to the @ResetVPN_bot bot: the recipient activates the gift there with "Accept gift".
The link is single-use: it stops working once the gift is activated.
The link has no expiry — it works until the gift is activated. The "Expired" label on older gifts in the Mini App doesn't disable the link.
You can't activate your own gift — only send it to someone else.
My gifts#
After your first gift, a "My gifts" section appears showing how many gifts were activated and how much you've spent. Each gift has a status, "Waiting for recipient" or "Activated", and a "Copy" button if you need to send the link again.
If you no longer need the gift#
You can't cancel a gift and get the money back yourself. If the gift hasn't been activated yet, contact support: an unactivated gift can be deleted and its cost returned to your balance.
