Account security: sign-ins, email and password

How to review and end sign-ins to your account, change your email, restore it if someone else changed it, and spot a stranger's sign-in.

Security settings live on the website, in "Settings" → the "Account" card. The Mini App doesn't have them: open account.resetvpn.com (opens in a new tab) (to get there with Telegram, see The Telegram Mini App: what it is and how to open it).

Where you're signed in#

In the "Where you're signed in" row, click "Show list". It lists every sign-in — the website in browsers, the Mini App, the ResetVPN app, TVs — with device, sign-in date and IP. The device you're using is marked "This device".

  • "Sign out" in a row ends the sign-in on that one device.

  • "Sign out everywhere" → "Sign out everywhere" ends all sign-ins, including this one. Your subscription and its link stay the same.

Up to 10 sign-ins can be active at once: a new sign-in ends the one that has gone unused the longest.

How to change your email#

In the "Email" row, click "Change" and go through 4 steps: current password → code sent to your current email → new email → code sent to the new email → "Change email".

  • You have 15 minutes to finish.

  • After the change, your other devices are signed out; this one stays signed in.

  • Your previous address gets an email with a "Restore previous email" button. The link is valid for 7 days, and while it is, you can't change the email again.

  • No code at the new address? Check spam. If a ResetVPN account already uses that address, no code is sent — you'll find an email about it instead.

Without access to your current email you can't change it — contact support.

If someone else changed your email#

  1. Open the email sent to your previous address and click "Restore previous email".

  2. Enter your current password and set a new one, then click "Restore previous email".

The email is restored, the password changes and all sign-ins end. If someone also changed your password, contact support.

Signs of a stranger's sign-in#

  • an unfamiliar device or IP in "Where you're signed in";

  • a "Signed in on a TV" notification or a "New sign-in on a TV — ResetVPN" email when you didn't connect a TV;

  • a "Your account email was changed — ResetVPN" email you didn't expect.

What to do: change your password — that alone ends every sign-in — then check the list again. See Forgot your password or want to change it.

Don't confirm codes for others. Don't enter TV screen codes or confirm Telegram links that someone sent you: that hands them access to your account. ResetVPN staff never ask you to confirm a sign-in with a code.
