What happens when a subscription ends
Reminders before the end date, 7 days to renew with the same link, deletion, and how the free trial and Premium differ.
On this page
A time-based subscription ("VPN" or "Router") does not disappear the moment it ends: for 7 more days you can renew it without setting up your devices again.
Reminders#
We remind you in advance: 3 days, 24 hours and 10 hours before the end. If auto-renewal is on, a day before you get a message that the subscription will renew by itself or, if your balance is too low, how much to top up.
When the period is over#
VPN stops working on all devices.
The subscription and its link are kept for 7 more days. Renew within that time and the link stays the same, so there is nothing to reconfigure in your apps. The new period starts from the moment of payment.
If auto-renewal is on, just top up your balance: the subscription renews by itself as long as the 7 days have not passed.
If your account has no linked Telegram, you get one last warning 12 hours before deletion.
After 7 days#
The subscription is deleted and can no longer be renewed. You can buy a new one, but it comes with a new link that has to be added to your VPN app again. In the ResetVPN app a new subscription shows up by itself.
Free trial and Premium#
The free trial is deleted right after it ends; it has no 7-day grace period. To keep its link, choose a plan before the trial is over (switching to "Router" gives you a separate VLESS key).
Premium has no end date. When the traffic runs out, VPN is paused. Buy a package within 7 days and the subscription works again right away; otherwise it is deleted. More in Out of traffic.
Where to renew an ended subscription#
On "Overview", tap "Reactivate" on the ended subscription. If you also have active subscriptions, ended ones are under "Archived subscriptions".
In @ResetVPN_bot: "Personal account" → "Manage subscriptions" → the subscription → "Renew subscription" (for Premium, "Purchase traffic").
The "Subs" tab → "Renew" on the subscription card (for Premium, "Top up traffic"). "Router" subscriptions aren't shown in the app — renew them in the bot, on the website or in the Mini App.
If someone shared their subscription with you via "Participants", the owner renews it. When the owner's subscription ends, yours stops working too.
